Overview
The Bajaj Chetak C2501 (often referred to as Chetak C25) was launched in January 2026 as the most affordable, entry-level electric scooter in the Chetak lineup. It is designed for daily city commuting, combining a durable metal body with, budget-friendly, and lightweight construction.

Price & Positioning: Launched with an ex-showroom price of approximately ₹91,399 - ₹91,430, making it the most accessible model in the range.
Battery & Range: Features a 2.5kWh NMC (Nickel Manganese Cobalt) battery pack, offering a claimed range of up to 113 km on a single charge. Real-world range is expected to be around 90-95 km.
Performance: Propelled by a rear wheel hub motor with 2.2kW peak power, providing a top speed of 55kmph.
Charging: Comes with a 750W off-board charger, enabling a 0-80% charge in 2 hours and 25 minutes.
Design & Build: Retains the iconic full-metal body construction of the Chetak, but with a new design, including a "single-piece tail lamp" and "neo-classic" look.
Storage & Weight: Offers 25 litres of under-seat storage (enough for a full-face helmet) and has a light kerb weight of 107-108 kg.
Features: Equipped with a new colour LCD display, LED DRL/headlamp, hill-hold assist, and USB charging. It has 12-inch wheels, a front disc brake, and dual rear shocks.
Colours: Available in six colour options: Red, White, Green, Gray, Yellow, and Black.
Optional Tech Pack: A "TechPac" is available for an additional ₹3,000, which adds features like Bluetooth connectivity, enhanced riding modes, and higher speed.
The C25 is built to compete in the budget EV segment against scooters like the Ola S1 X and TVS Orbiter.
