Audi SQ8 performance SUV launched in India at ₹1.78 crore

Audi has launched the performance-focused SQ8 SUV in the Indian market at an introductory price of ₹1.78 crore (ex-showroom). The Audi SQ8 stands out with the brand’s signature singleframe grille finished with a silver surround, along with a sporty front bumper featuring silver inserts. At the rear, the SUV gets connected LED taillights and quad exhaust outlets that emphasise its sporty character. Customers can also opt for larger 22-inch alloy wheels and ceramic brakes. Inside the cabin, the SQ8 comes equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and Audi’s dual-screen infotainment layout. The dashboard features a touchscreen infotainment system along with a secondary touchscreen that controls climate functions and other vehicle settings. The SUV comes with sport seats as standard, while buyers can opt for sport seats plus finished in Valcona leather with heating and ventilation functions. Other features include a 17-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, four-zone automatic climate control, Park Assist Plus, 360-degree camera, wireless charging and soft-close doors. Adaptive windshield wipers are also available as an option. Powering the SQ8 is a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 500 BHP and 770 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels through Audi’s quattro system. The SUV can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in around 4 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h. The SQ8 also comes with adaptive air suspension, a self-locking centre differential and all-wheel steering. Customers can further enhance the driving dynamics with the optional advanced suspension package that includes active roll stabilisation and a sport differential.
