Hero Vida VXZ electric motorcycle spotted testing in India

Hero Vida VXZ electric motorcycle spotted testing in India
Hero MotoCorp’s Vida VXZ electric motorcycle has been spotted testing in India ahead of its expected launch.

A test mule of the upcoming Hero Vida VXZ electric motorcycle has been spotted testing in India. The prototype seen on public roads appears to be a near production version of the bike that was first showcased at EICMA last year. Developed by Hero MotoCorp under its Vida electric mobility brand, the VXZ features a sporty streetfighter inspired design that closely resembles a conventional petrol motorcycle. The bike gets a diamond shaped headlamp with signature LED DRLs, muscular tank extensions, a slim tail section and a stepped seat. It also rides on five spoke alloy wheels. The test bike appears to be equipped with a USD front fork and a rear monoshock suspension setup. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends. One notable detail is the use of a belt drive system, replacing the traditional chain drive typically seen on motorcycles. While Hero MotoCorp has not revealed the official specifications yet, the Vida VXZ is expected to deliver performance comparable to 150cc to 200cc petrol motorcycles. Once launched, the electric bike could compete in the growing premium electric two wheeler segment.
