Hyundai Exter facelift spotted testing in India
Hyundai is likely to retain the existing 1.2L petrol engine on the Exter facelift.
The Hyundai Exter is expected to receive its midlife facelift soon, with a test mule recently spotted on Indian roads. Going by the camouflage, the updates appear to be largely cosmetic rather than comprehensive, suggesting Hyundai is playing it safe with the refresh.
Black camouflage on the front and rear indicates possible changes to the grille and bumpers, while the familiar split headlamp setup and H-shaped LED DRLs seem to have been retained. At the rear, the facelifted Exter could get a reworked tailgate, rectangular LED tail-lamps, and a revised bumper.
Inside, the Exter facelift is expected to see minor upgrades, potentially including a larger touchscreen infotainment system, an updated digital instrument cluster, and a few feature additions to keep the cabin competitive.
Mechanically, no changes are expected. The Exter facelift is likely to continue with the 1.2-litre petrol engine, offered with 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options, along with a factory-fitted CNG variant.
