Hyundai Venue Crosses 1 Lakh Bookings; HX8 Diesel AT Added
Hyundai celebrates 1 lakh bookings of the new Venue with the launch of the HX8 Diesel automatic variant.

Hyundai has announced that the new Venue has crossed the milestone of 1 lakh bookings in India. To mark the achievement, the company has expanded the lineup of the compact SUV by introducing a new variant. The Hyundai Venue is now available in the HX8 Diesel AT trim, which is priced at Rs 13.70 lakh ex showroom. The new variant adds a diesel automatic option to the higher trim levels of the popular compact SUV. The HX8 Diesel AT comes with a strong list of comfort and convenience features. These include ventilated front seats, a four way electrically adjustable driver seat and paddle shifters. The SUV also gets an electric parking brake with auto hold, rear disc brakes, ambient lighting, drive modes and traction control. On the technology front, the Venue continues to offer Hyundai’s Bluelink connected car technology along with support for Over the Air software updates. Powering the HX8 Diesel AT variant is a 1.5 litre four cylinder diesel engine that produces 114 BHP at 4000 rpm and 250 Nm of torque between 1500 rpm and 2750 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6 speed automatic transmission. The Venue range also includes two petrol engine options. The first is a 1.0 litre turbo petrol engine that produces 118 BHP and 172 Nm of torque. This engine can be paired with either a 6 speed manual gearbox or a 7 speed dual clutch transmission. The second petrol option is a 1.2 litre naturally aspirated engine that develops 82 BHP and 115 Nm of torque. This unit is offered with a 5 speed manual gearbox. Since its launch, the Hyundai Venue has remained a popular choice in the compact SUV segment thanks to its modern design, feature rich cabin and multiple powertrain options.
