Mahindra plans Scorpio-N pickup truck launch in 2027

Mahindra plans Scorpio-N pickup truck launch in 2027
Exports of the Scorpio-N pickup to left-hand-drive markets are expected to begin in 2028.

Unveiled in 2023, Mahindra’s Global Pik Up Vision concept offered an early look at a rugged pickup based on the Mahindra Scorpio-N platform. After several years in development, the production version is now expected to arrive in 2027, with Mahindra confirming that left-hand-drive markets will follow in 2028. The road-going Scorpio-N pickup is likely to be a toned-down interpretation of the concept, retaining its bold stance with a large grille, muscular wheel arches, and a spacious cargo bed aimed at lifestyle and utility buyers. Mahindra is expected to equip the pickup with modern tech, including Level 2 ADAS with semi-automatic parking, 5G connectivity, and multiple driving modes — positioning it as a premium offering in the lifestyle pickup space. The concept showcased a Gen-2 mHawk 2.2-litre diesel engine paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox and 4WD. The production model is also expected to offer a petrol option, broadening its appeal in global markets.
