Maruti Suzuki Dzire Sales Cross 3 Million Units In India
Maruti Suzuki celebrates a major milestone as cumulative sales of the Dzire compact sedan surpass 3 million units in India.

Maruti Suzuki has achieved another major milestone with its popular compact sedan, the Dzire. The company has announced that cumulative sales of the model have now crossed the 3 million unit mark in India. First introduced in 2008, the Dzire has remained one of the most successful sedans in the Indian market. Over the years, the model has evolved through four generations while consistently maintaining its strong popularity among buyers. The Dzire has also held the title of the highest-selling sedan in India for several years and was the best-selling passenger car in the country during calendar year 2025. The model has received several updates across its lifecycle. The second-generation Dzire introduced the automated manual transmission (AMT), making automatic driving more accessible in the segment. With the third generation, Maruti Suzuki added a new top-spec Z+ trim that offered premium features such as LED projector headlamps, the SmartPlay infotainment system and stylish two-tone alloy wheels. The latest fourth-generation Dzire was launched in November 2024. The new model features updated styling, improved technology and enhanced safety features. Under the hood, the latest Dzire is powered by Maruti Suzuki’s new Z-series petrol engine. The sedan also offers a modern feature list including a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with smartwatch connectivity. In terms of safety, the latest Dzire is equipped with six airbags as standard along with electronic stability program, ABS with EBD, Hill Hold Assist and other driver assistance features. With its combination of fuel efficiency, practicality and a strong service network, the Dzire continues to be one of the most popular compact sedans in the country, helping Maruti Suzuki maintain its leadership in the Indian passenger vehicle market.
