Mercedes-Benz GLE Facelift Unveiled With Updated Design And New Powertrains
Mercedes-Benz reveals the updated GLE with new styling, advanced tech and multiple petrol, diesel and hybrid options.

Mercedes-Benz has officially unveiled the facelifted GLE SUV for global markets, bringing a refreshed design, updated interiors and a wide range of powertrain options. The updated GLE will be offered in standard and AMG versions, along with a coupe body style. Updated Design The new GLE retains its familiar silhouette but gets several noticeable styling tweaks. Up front, the SUV features a more prominent grille with a chrome frame and gloss black surround. It is complemented by new headlamps with signature star-shaped LED elements and a redesigned front bumper. At the rear, the SUV gets reworked wraparound taillights with tri-star LED detailing. A gloss black strip now connects the tail lamps on the standard version, enhancing the visual width. The AMG variants get sportier elements, including a distinct grille design and larger 22-inch alloy wheels, giving them a more aggressive stance. Interior & Features Inside, the GLE facelift gets a tech-heavy cabin with three 12.3-inch displays, now running the latest MB.OS operating system. The dashboard layout remains premium, while a new 3-spoke steering wheel adds a fresh touch. AMG variants get a flat-bottom sporty steering wheel and additional performance-oriented design elements. Unique rotary controls with integrated displays further enhance the modern feel. Engine Options Mercedes-Benz is offering a wide range of powertrains with the updated GLE: GLE 580 – 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 530 BHP, 750 Nm GLE 450 – 3.0-litre inline-6 petrol 376 BHP, 560 Nm GLE 450e – Plug-in hybrid (inline-6) Diesel options – GLE 350d & GLE 450d The AMG lineup includes: AMG GLE 53 Mild Hybrid 3.0L turbo petrol + 48V system 443 BHP, 600 Nm AMG GLE 53 Plug-in Hybrid 577 BHP, 750 Nm All variants come paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive as standard. Ride & Suspension The GLE facelift also benefits from an updated suspension setup, with the option of E-Active Body Control, which enhances ride comfort and handling dynamics across different terrains. With its refreshed design, advanced tech and multiple powertrain options, the new GLE facelift continues to strengthen Mercedes-Benz’s position in the premium SUV segment globally.
