MG Majestor Showcases Beach Off-Road Capability with Advanced 4WD System
MG Majestor demonstrates its off-road strength by tackling beach terrain in Chennai, highlighting its advanced 4WD tech and sand mode performance.
JSW MG Motor India continues to highlight the rugged capability of its upcoming flagship SUV, the MG Majestor, with a fresh demonstration of its off-road prowess. The SUV was recently driven across the sandy coastline of Pattipulam on East Coast Road, Chennai, showcasing its ability to handle challenging beach terrain with ease.
Equipped with a dedicated Sand Mode, the MG Majestor managed loose and shifting surfaces confidently, maintaining stability and traction even on soft sand. This real-world demonstration reinforces the SUV’s positioning as a serious off-roader in the premium segment.
At the heart of the Majestor is a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine producing 215.5 PS and 478.5 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The powertrain is designed to deliver strong low-end torque, which is crucial for tackling terrains like sand, mud, and rocky trails.
What truly sets the Majestor apart is its advanced off-road hardware. It features a 4WD system with 10 terrain modes, along with first-in-segment triple differential locks (front, rear, and centre). These systems work together to ensure maximum traction and control across varying surfaces. Additionally, the SUV gets a Crawl Control Mode, allowing precise low-speed manoeuvring in extreme conditions without driver input on throttle and brakes.
The Majestor is also built to handle diverse environments with 219 mm ground clearance and an impressive 810 mm water-wading capability, making it suitable for both off-road adventures and harsh Indian conditions.
Beyond capability, the SUV integrates modern safety with Level 2 ADAS, combining rugged performance with advanced driver assistance features. This balance of off-road strength and intelligent technology positions the Majestor as a unique offering in its segment.
MG is currently accepting pre-reservations at ₹41,000, with early customers eligible for the brand’s Complete Peace of Mind programme. This includes a 5-year unlimited kilometre warranty, 5-year roadside assistance, and 5 labour-free services, enhancing long-term ownership value.
With such demonstrations, MG is clearly building anticipation ahead of the Majestor’s official launch, positioning it as a feature-rich, capability-focused D+ segment SUV for Indian buyers seeking both adventure and premium comfort.
