Simple Energy has launched its new flagship electric scooter, the Simple Ultra, in the Indian market at a price of ₹2,34,999 (ex-showroom). With a claimed IDC range of 400 km, the Ultra positions itself as one of the longest-range electric scooters currently available in India. At the heart of the Simple Ultra is a 6.5 kWh battery pack, which enables this impressive range figure. The scooter is also among the quicker options in its segment, with the company claiming a 0–40 km/h sprint in just 2.77 seconds. It has a top speed of 115 km/h, making it the second-fastest scooter in Simple Energy’s portfolio. The Ultra is designed to offer a balance of performance and practicality. It features a 7-inch digital instrument console that provides essential ride data along with connected features. In addition, the scooter comes equipped with a traction control system with four adjustable modes, enhancing stability and safety across different riding conditions. In terms of design, the Simple Ultra follows a sharp and sporty styling approach, with aggressive body panels, LED lighting elements and a well-sculpted profile that gives it a modern road presence. The overall stance and proportions also suggest a focus on both urban commuting and longer rides. Simple Energy is also expanding its retail and service network across the country. The brand currently operates around 70 touchpoints in key cities including Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kochi. Further expansion plans include new locations such as Nagpur, Ranchi and Bhubaneswar, aimed at improving accessibility and customer support.
