Skoda Kushaq Classic+ entry-level automatic variant unveiled in India
Skoda has revealed the new Kushaq Classic+ variant, introducing an entry-level automatic option for the compact SUV.
Skoda has expanded the Kushaq lineup with the introduction of a new entry-level automatic variant called the Kushaq Classic+. The new trim aims to make the compact SUV more accessible to buyers who prefer the convenience of an automatic gearbox.
On the outside, the Kushaq Classic+ retains the familiar design seen across the lineup. It comes equipped with projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights, along with connected LED taillamps at the rear. The SUV also features alloy wheels, roof rails, and ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, maintaining the premium styling that the Kushaq is known for.
Inside the cabin, the Classic+ variant gets a touchscreen infotainment system, though it is slightly smaller compared to the displays offered in higher trims. The interior also includes a two-spoke multifunction steering wheel, an analogue instrument cluster, and manual air conditioning with rear AC vents. Convenience features such as cruise control and a single-pane sunroof are also part of the equipment list.
Under the hood, the Kushaq Classic+ is powered by Skoda’s 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine, which is now offered with both a 6-speed manual gearbox and a new 8-speed automatic transmission. This move is expected to attract buyers looking for an affordable automatic SUV in the segment.
Higher variants of the Kushaq continue to be available with the 1.5-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission for those seeking stronger performance.
The Kushaq range will continue to include trims such as Signature, Sportline, Prestige, and Monte Carlo, giving buyers multiple options depending on their preferences. Skoda is expected to announce official pricing for the new Classic+ variant later this month.
