Suzuki Launches New Burgman 150 Maxi Scooter In Colombia
Suzuki has introduced the new Burgman 150 maxi-scooter in Colombia with sporty styling, dual-channel ABS and connected features.
Suzuki has officially introduced the new Burgman 150 maxi-scooter in Colombia, expanding its global scooter lineup with a more powerful and feature-rich urban mobility offering. The launch comes shortly after Suzuki unveiled the updated Burgman Street 125 in international markets.
The new Burgman 150 adopts a sporty maxi-scooter design inspired by larger premium touring scooters. It features a large front fairing integrated with dual LED headlamps and sharp LED daytime running lights, giving the scooter a more aggressive and premium appearance.
The scooter also gets a stepped seat setup designed for improved rider and pillion comfort during long commutes. Other styling highlights include raised handlebars, a short windscreen and a single upswept exhaust.
Powering the Suzuki Burgman 150 is a 149cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 14.2 BHP at 8,500 rpm and 14.2 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. Suzuki has also equipped the scooter with an idle stop-start system aimed at improving fuel efficiency during city riding conditions.
The Burgman 150 rides on telescopic front suspension along with dual rear shock absorbers. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends, while safety is enhanced further through the inclusion of dual-channel ABS.
Suzuki has also loaded the maxi-scooter with several convenience and connectivity features. The Burgman 150 gets an 18-watt USB Type-C charging port, a digital instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity support, keyless go functionality and traction control.
The combination of maxi-scooter styling, premium equipment and a more powerful engine positions the Burgman 150 as a more lifestyle-oriented urban scooter aimed at buyers looking for comfort and practicality along with sporty design.
The launch of the Burgman 150 also reflects the growing demand for premium scooters in global markets where customers increasingly prefer feature-loaded automatic two-wheelers for urban commuting and touring applications.
While Suzuki has not announced any plans for India yet, the Burgman 150 could attract interest among Indian buyers looking for a larger and more premium alternative to the existing Burgman Street 125.
