TVS Orbiter V1 Electric Scooter Launched At Rs 84,500

TVS has expanded its electric two-wheeler lineup with the launch of a new variant of the Orbiter e-scooter. Called the Orbiter V1, the new model is priced at Rs 84,500 ex showroom in Delhi. The company is also offering the scooter with a Battery-as-a-Service option to make ownership more accessible. The Orbiter V1 is powered by a 1.8 kWh battery pack, which delivers a claimed range of 86 km on a single charge. According to the company, the battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes. In terms of features, the Orbiter V1 comes equipped with an LCD instrument console that offers several connected and convenience functions. These include turn by turn navigation, over the air software updates, safety alerts and multiple riding modes. The scooter also offers additional rider assistance features such as hill hold assist, parking assist and cruise control, enhancing convenience during everyday rides. TVS is also offering the Orbiter V1 under a Battery-as-a-Service model. Under this option, customers need to pay Rs 49,999 upfront for the scooter, while the battery is provided through a monthly subscription. The battery subscription plans start at Rs 862 per month. These plans also include an extended warranty of up to five years or 70,000 km along with unlimited monthly usage. With the introduction of the Orbiter V1 and the flexible battery subscription model, TVS aims to make electric mobility more affordable and accessible to a wider range of customers.
