Volkswagen Taigun Facelift Spied With LED Light Bar And New Design
New spy images reveal that the upcoming Volkswagen Taigun facelift will feature LED light bars and illuminated VW logos.
The upcoming Volkswagen Taigun facelift has been spotted testing again, revealing new design details of the updated SUV. The latest spy images give a clearer look at the lighting elements and revised styling that will be introduced with the facelifted model.
One of the most noticeable changes is the redesigned front lighting setup. The updated Taigun appears to feature new LED headlamps connected by a slim LED light bar running across the grille. The front also seems to incorporate an illuminated Volkswagen logo, giving the SUV a more modern and premium appearance.
Similar updates are expected at the rear as well. The facelifted Taigun is likely to feature redesigned LED tail lamps connected by a full width LED light bar. The illuminated VW badge at the back will further enhance the SUV’s updated lighting signature.
Apart from the lighting changes, the spy images suggest that the Taigun will receive revised bumpers. The front bumper appears to feature a wider air dam along with a silver faux skid plate, adding a slightly sportier look to the SUV. At the rear, the bumper seems to include a chrome strip along with small reflectors on either side and a silver insert.
Mechanically, the Taigun facelift is expected to retain the same powertrain options as the current model. These include a 1.0 litre turbo petrol engine as well as a more powerful 1.5 litre turbo petrol unit.
Transmission choices are also likely to remain unchanged. Buyers will be able to choose between a 6 speed manual gearbox, a 6 speed automatic transmission and a 7 speed DSG depending on the engine option.
Volkswagen is expected to introduce the Taigun facelift in India sometime next year as part of its mid cycle update for the popular compact SUV.
